The Challenge: A printing company had years of information stored in a legacy system on an AS400 about inks, their performance, and how well each works in specific presses. The information was used for reports to determine which types of ink were most efficient for which jobs, but the reports took hours of work to research and complete, and were often inaccurate due to the complexity of the interpretation required.

Innovate's Solution: We built a PC front end through which the client could request data about inks. Because so much information was already stored there, the numbers crunching took place on the legacy AS400. The completed information was processed by the PC front end and delivered to the user.
